Salient features

As per the JNTUA curriculum, the department organizes the teaching and learning activities in both conventional and innovative approaches. The critical parts and important issues of Pharmaceutical Chemistry group of subjects are supplemented by tutorial sessions. The students are demonstrated and trained on basic chemistry principles in more innovative way. As chemistry of natural products is promising, more emphasis is given on natural products chemistry and applications in practical sessions. In advanced level, the students get hands-on experience in design and synthesis of several new chemical entities using CADD and applying Green chemistry techniques such as microwave synthesis, etc.
