Medicinal garden

Sri Padmavathi School of Pharmacy proudly maintains Medicinal Plant Garden, showcasing a diverse array of herbs, xerophytes, and shrubs. Conveniently located near the main entrance within the college campus, this garden serves as a valuable resource for students, faculty, and researchers. The garden is meticulously managed by the SPSP Green Army committee, comprising two faculty members and two students from each class, with support from dedicated housekeeping staff and a gardener.

The plants are carefully labeled with name plates displaying their vernacular and botanical names, facilitating easy identification. Strategic placement of plants in demarcated areas, leveraging shade from surrounding trees, ensures optimal growth. This garden promotes botanical knowledge, research, and environmental sustainability, aligning with our institution’s commitment to excellence. By maintaining this medicinal plant garden, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation for the importance of medicinal plants in healthcare and inspire future generations of pharmacists and researchers.
